Seeing the woman you loved but thought dead for 10 years in your sniper scope as your getting ready to take out a target is a bit of a surprise for Cash Garrison and his best friend and her brother Roman Hart. But it’s a heck of a way to start a book.

Cash and Roman work for Titan Group which is a private security firm hired by para-military operations in any country, law enforcement in conflict zones, hostage negotiation and rescue operations, warzone assistance, and high value target projects. They were hired to take out an international terrorist and get so much more than they bargained for.

Nicola is a kick-butt CIA spy and Cash is defiantly an Alpha male which always makes for good reading. There was plenty of intrigue and suspense that kept you turning the pages.

Pace is pretty fast and is has a full cast of characters that also include the FBI, ATF and CIA who Nicola works for. Nicola, her brother Roman and Cash all grew up together. In college Cash and Nicola fell in love but kept it to themselves due to not knowing how Roman would react. Nicola winds up in Witness Protection due to outing the Mob on some dirty dealings she found which resulted in her “death” to the world. Here is one of the biggest issues I had with the book – For 10 years she let her family and Cash think she was dead while she went on to end up working for the CIA. When Cash and Roman find her at their mark’s location and eventually take her back to a Titan safehouse Cash and Roman’s response to her being alive was believable but no one rushed to tell her parents that she was alive. I mean these poor people had grieved for their daughter all these years and even when she finally goes and see’s them its all hunky dory – we forgive you and that’s that.

There were quite a few things brushed over like that throughout the book but all the characters both primary and secondary were interesting enough to me that I want to read the next books in the series.

Nic and Cash!! ( )

Whoever said that second chances are meant only for couples that broke up? What if you had to leave the man you considered your soul mate to make sure he and your family are safe?

Nicola Hart had to walk out of her loved ones' lives years ago. To make sure they were safe from the mobsters after her head, she faked her death and earned a new identity. Now, years after that dreadful event, Nicola Garrison is shocked to find her brother and his best friend, the one man she has ever oved, in the middle of her failed operation. Cash Garrison has always loved only one woman - everyone else after her meant nothing. But now the sniper of Titan sees things that can only belong in his wildest dreams! Can the girl he once loved still be somewhere in the tough woman he has to work with? What happens to two people meant to be together that find each other again after years of being apart - two people, that may not be the same as they used to be?

If you have read any of my reviews so far, you may have noticed that I'm not exactly fond of couples getting back together. In my - albeit inexperienced - opinion, what is torn apart should never be put back into one piece. But that's just me and my eccentric ideas.

Still, even a cynical bitch like me couldn't stay indifferent to Cash's pain and Nic's anxiety. I assure you, this was one of the few times where I didn't mind a playboy for a male lead, an indecisive female for his other half, and a couple that broke apart and was trying to make it work again. Why? The answer is simple.

Apart from the fact that those two had so much chemistry they simply clicked the minute Nic made her debut appearance in the book, it was easy to see the romance working between them. It wasn't just because they were once good together. It was because they were in sync, and their new, evolved - so to speak - older versions worked for both of them.

Now moving on to more specific grounds: Cash was a miracle! He may not be my most favorite of the group, but he was a real sweetheart. Romantic, overprotective, funny and hot when he demanded things, he was a true he-man. He was a ladies' man in the previous book, but in this one, we got to experience just how hurt he was over Nic's "death". This wasn't your typical "you're the one for me, so I'm stopping chasing after skirts right this instant" scenario. In Cash's case, Nic was always his IT. But seeing as she was "dead", he had to try and move on. A dead lover and the emotional pain this brings - plus the fact you can't really show it to the world, which honestly made me cry, btw - is a pretty good reason to become a bed hopper, if you ask me...

Another pet peeve of mine that didn't bother me here was Nic's inability to decide what the heck she wanted. It usually gets on my nerves, but the poor girl knew things would go wrong if she let her guard down. And she was right! So cudos to her intuition, and her sense of self-sacrifice to keep her loved ones away from her enemies. Plus, she was pretty badass - I only hope she doesn't get soft in the next books because she's got Cash back.

In terms of action, the second book didn't have as much as the first book. Mainly because, in this case, we had to deal with conspiracies and stuff, and the bureaucrats of Langley made it so hard to get to the good part...

Even so, it was even more intriguing than Winters Heat and more complicated, seeing as we had to be on alert constantly, not knowing which CIA agent to trust and which to wish dead. Thank God we can always count on the Titan boys to stay out of the awful trap of betrayal~

Now I'm off to Jared's book - hell, yes, Boss Man, get your pants off and prepare to meet your destined reader and fan!

One sentence: Titan boys set panties on fire.

Honestly, from book 1 $ 2 that's my take on these heroic alphas and I love it. Every dang page, but this time we have a new alpha in town. her name is Nicola, and boy does she have a pair of brass balls. She was a far cry from the soft and sensitive Mia (loved her too). She really brought this story to life as she sparred against Cash ... Jarred ... her brother ... you get the picture.

I love strong females when they're done right. Nicola was perfect in that sense. She questioned her actions and surroundings, but she rarely fell into that inner turmoil, oh woah is me crap. Inside and out she was tough - just one of the guys, and I loved her for throwing down.

Cash we saw glimpses of in book one, but he really shined. We saw a whole new side to the man whore and everything we thought we knew about him, well it all makes sense. Totally swoon worthy and all, but this was more Nic's book than his. Not that's he's a pansy, because he's lethal beyond his looks, but this was her show. Cash was there for tension, interest, and a whole lot of hot shmexiness.

The story deepens beyond them. I won't get into too many details because I'm a no spoilers type, but lots of espionage and double crossings. Guns, explosions (of multiple kinds ;))hot men, cat fights ... you'll find yourself entertained.

I can't wait to sink my teeth into Westins Chase. Before finishing this one, and reading what unfolded, I said to myself, "Jared needs his own book."

Garrisons Creed is the second book in the Titan novel trilogy. I actually read and reviewed Winters Heat over on Literary Sweet, and plan on reading the rest of the series. Oh yeah, it’s that hot.

We met Cash in the first book, but he was a minor character. This book can be read by itself, but you really see the change in him between the two books, plus it too is a darn good read. Do yourself a favor if you love romance and suspense, pick it up.

Cash is a sniper who throws all caution to the wind. He’s a player, a womanizer, and there’s a long list of conquests notching his belt. While on routine assignment, for Titan, he sees the woman who started that downward spiral in him. Trouble is, she’s supposed to be dead.

Nicola is deep undercover working for the CIA when her target is killed – sniper style. Crap hits the fan and she tumbles into someone she never thought she’d see again. Cash Garrison – the man who owned her heart and the one she tried to protect.

Filled with action, suspense, and the clash of alpha male and female, can these two find a way to forgive the past and earn a second chance at love?

I love the heat of the series. It builds up and then burns you senseless. Mist yourself with this one, and be sure to watch your panties. The Titan boys like to set them ablaze, but for the men out there, Nicola has you covered too.

Cat fights, guns, and lots of explosive fire is sure to wet your appetite.

Garrison’s Creed by Cristin Harber is full of romance, intrigue, action, and spies! The second novel in the Titan series follows the story of Cash Garrison, a member of the Titan organization, who has recently discovered that the only woman he ever loved is not dead like everyone thought she was, just working for the CIA.

Cash Garrison. I don’t even know where to start. He’s such a macho protagonist, always sleeps with his rifle next to him and doesn’t take crap from anyone. When he’s around Nicola though, he’s all lover and knows exactly what to say and do to her to drive her wild. The one thing I will say about Cash that drove me nuts throughout the entire novel is that he’s too protective of Nicola. Being protective and wanting to make sure she’s ok can be sweet and endearing, but Cash takes it to the extreme. He doesn’t like the fact that Nicola works for the CIA for the simple fact that she’s a girl and she should be protected by manly men such as him. Whenever Cash and Nicola were talking business and this came up I got so angry. However, it left a lot of room for character growth, and Cash does grow throughout the novel, so I was satisfied by the end of the novel.

I loved Nicola’s character. She’s a strong female character who doesn’t let the men in her life push her around. Being one of the only female field agents in the CIA she’s used to having to prove herself to men who think she can’t do her job. Her life gets turned upside down when she runs into Cash, as well as her brother Roman, both of whom think she is currently buried six feet under. I really did feel bad for Nicola. She feels like a terrible person for letting her family believe she was dead, but she needed to be placed in witness protection, so no one from her old life could know that she was alive or they would all be put in danger. One of the things I loved about Nicola was she knew just how to get what she wanted when it comes to Cash. She loves him, but she also doesn’t take crap from him and refuses to give up her job just because Cash doesn’t like her being in the field.

Roman, Nicola’s brother, was great. He was the perfect mixture of pissed off that his sister lied to him, and relieved to find out she was alive. He also had to come to terms with the fact that his best friend and his little sister are in a relationship, and were in a relationship even before Nicola was forced into witness protection. Similar to Cash, his over-protection kind of got on my nerves, but it was a little more understandable coming from an older brother. Still, Nicola is a grown woman and should be able to date whoever she wants to, even her older brother’s best friend.

Characters aside, the novel was written really well. I could visualize everything really well, which is always nice. The action scenes kept me on the edge of my seat, and the romance scenes had just the right amount of detail in them. There were twists and turns right up to the end of the book, so even when I thought things were settled and I was in for the happy ending, something else would happen to stir things up again. Not many novels actually keep the reader engaged and entertained throughout the whole thing, but Garrison’s Creed did. It can be read on its own even though it’s the second in the series, and there are plenty of side characters to love as well as the two main characters, Cash and Nicola.

Overall, I’m giving Garrison’s Creed 5 out of 5 controllers. I was entertained throughout the entire thing, none of it was boring, and even though Cash got on my nerves with his over-protectiveness, the fact that his character grows throughout the novel redeems him and makes this novel a great read.
