An adventure in mysticism: Featuring the Gospel according to "I am" is a FANTASTIC, original story. Well written and so intriguing I could not put it down, and stayed up way past my bedtime. This was one of the best books I have read all year. Like the freshness of his character and the differences he presents. The main character's dilemma will make you think of your own as well. Then I wanted more. It is beautifully written and deep enough to provide much food for thought. He not only tells a story - stories whose outcome will come to truly matter to the reader - he also adds spare and lovely descriptions and backgrounds that make the work into a complete package. I think Don Mardak is a very talented writer, certainly better than most self-published writers out there. My hope is that the future holds more of Mardak's travels. This book comes highly recommended, and Thank you Mr. Mardak! ingen anmeldelser | tilføj en anmeldelse
"An Adventure in Mysticism" is a compelling spiritual fantasy. Basically, it is two books in one. The first part--The Adventure--is a fictional story of Eric, a young boy who becomes separated from his parents while on a trip to Jerusalem when he is twelve years old. At that time he meets Shimahn, an illumined Master from Tibet. That encounter changes Eric's life and sets him on a lifetime quest for spiritual illumination. The story is a charming blend of spirituality, humor and suspense. This mystical adventure will lead the reader to that divine Kingdom that exists in the inner depths of his or her soul. Part 2 of the book--"The Gospel According to I AM"--is a virtual textbook of spiritual principles, providing Biblical proof that there is much more to being human than can be seen on the surface, No library descriptions found. |

I love Mardak's work and reading this prequel to Armageddon it was an absolute delight to dive into this book. The first half is an appealing and resonant novel. By removing the heightened drama of Armageddon, Mardak's delicious prose blooms for readers to savor. The writing explores many interrelated topics of an advanced spirituality that lies within and is ready to be awakened. The story gives us a deeply entertaining love story as well, as we learn Eric's romantic backstory and how he met his Tibetan guide Shimahn.
"Adventure in Mysticism"also features a second stand along book, "The GOSPEL According to I AM." This second part is more of a teacher's connection with the reader as a student, highlighting Biblical passage along with their mystical interpretation as wisely discerned by Mardak. The two sides of the whole fit together to offer readers pathways into insight and spiritual discovery, all wrapped up in an entertaining vehicle. An excellent choice to seekers of all kinds! ( )
