Wilson clearly explains the basic concepts and a set of photographs illustrate eight movements, which are like simple dance routines that require the focus and concentration of moving meditation. Qi Gong comes in many different forms. The one taught here is called Pal Dan Gum, a Korean variant that consists of relatively simple movements especially suitable for beginners. Students who choose to move on to other variants will be well served by these teachings as a foundation. Qi Gong theory is covered in sufficient detail to be comprehensible without being boring.
