Another great story giving more dimension to the series. ( )

After getting through Dauntless initiation, Tobias works to settle into his faction. There are roles they want him to play, and he's not sure it's what he's comfortable with. And when someone from his past emerges, he learns there may be something going on between the factions that could spell danger for everyone.

I continue to enjoy the Four stories, as it's interesting to see more from his perspective and to understand how he became the person we first see in Divergent. The added depth provided through these stories makes the original series more meaningful, but because these are so full of spoilers, they really should be read after finishing Allegiant and not before. I certainly wouldn't mind another story or two focusing on Tobias, if there's a place for them anywhere in his world... ( )

Another Great novella!

There is one part I kind of saw coming...And another part, I kind of hoped for but wasn't quite sure about...but ended up happening kind of the way I had hoped (that's a lot of hoping kindas! lol)

If I keep in this track of Divergent Novellas, I'll have the final one done by the end of the week...But I guess we will see what happens :-)

I'm still trying not to have my hopes too high for Insurgent but willing to go into it somewhat hoping I like it and can finish it...Hopefully Insurgent doesn't have the "typical second book slow/boring pace" to it. (No, not all books in trilogies or series are like that but so many have been unfortunately and I sometimes have found myself not finishing series/trilogies because of the second book) ( )

Liked it. I would like it more if I hadn't already read the 3rd book in the series and thought that what Four did was not quite in character. ( )

Hooray, I'm loving this miniseries! It almost works as a standalone and is far more intriguing. I'm realizing Four is not exactly the sharpest tool in the shed but it's nice to see that as a flaw rather than a whining, insecure teenager. Also appreciating the backstory of some of the older minor Dauntless characters and what things were like in the factions before their world quite literally fell apart. This miniseries highlights the great potential the Divergent series had as a whole and I realize I must be reading them out of order, but I prefer to go back to a story in Roth's world that makes much more sense, save for the factions of course. Onto the next and last! ( )

My mother presented me with two options yesterday: be a pawn of Dauntless, or become factionless. But there's a third option: to be neither. To align myself with no one in particular. To live under the radar, and free. That's what I really want--to shed all the people who want to form and shape me, one by one, and learn instead to form and shape myself.
