His travels in this episode include Iran, Somalia, the United States, Canada and even Moscow. What started out to be a rescue mission to aid an Iranian nuclear physicist to defect, ended up with the physicist dead. But what Justin discovered was so much more, and no matter where he goes, someone always wants him dead. In addition to a new partner in Iran, Nathan Smyth, his regular partner, Carrie O’Connor, will always help him out, even when it goes against direct orders from their superiors. Who has it out for Justin? In his line of work, there is always danger, but this takes it to a new level. So many people seem to want him dead, no matter where he goes. Someone doesn’t want him to find out who is the mole that every move Justin makes seems to already have someone waiting to kill him. The fighting in different countries will always be there, but who is supplying the illegal weapons. Being the true fighter, Justin doesn’t give up easily. Each chapter will have you turning the pages for more. This is the best of Ethan Jones three books. It is fast paced with numerous sub-plots which keep the book fresh. Mr. Jones continues the high quality of the characters. Some authors tend to make their female operatives bada$$ yet this author makes Carrie into an equal agent without the super human physical abilities I find in other books. This makes her character much more real and believable. I actually give this book 4.5 stars only because the ending tends to fizzle a bit. I realize that an ending can generally not maintain the high emotion of the rest of the book. However, this ending does not follow the high prose of the rest of the book. Mr. Jones is a great author who obviously has good knowledge of his genre and does an excellent job of conveying it to paper. I look forward with great anticipation to his next book. ingen anmeldelser | tilføj en anmeldelse

Author Ethan Jones keeps the action coming from all corners as Hall, quickly re-united with his regular partner Carrie O'Connor, delves into the mysteries unlocked by the secrets carried out by the defecting scientist. Soon the CIA, radical Islamist terrorist groups, and Russian arms merchants enter the picture.
Fog of War is a good, fast-paced action/spy-thriller. This book is perfect for a bit of light reading, but don't be surprised if you end up staying up an extra hour to keep going, rather than turning in for bed. ( )
