This was an enjoyable cozy mystery with charming characters and a mystery that was challenging. The Seaside Knitters get involved in two murders as Izzy is about to give birth to her first child. ( ) I really enjoyed reading this most cozy of cozy mysteries.* I am a knitter and on top of that love cozy mysteries so this should be right up my alley, so to speak. While I figured out the mystery about 200 pages in (or so), I kept reading. Not because I had too, but because I enjoyed the caring, love and sense of community Ms. Goldenbaum wove into her story. She was able to create a town and inhabit it with people who actually care about each other. That may sound simplistic, or perhaps pastoral, but in a sometimes dark world than one would like, it is nice to escape to this tiny seaside comfort. My only hesitation is that I wonder if Izzy is typically the lead in these stories as the blurb on the back might have suggested, in this one she takes a very pregnant backseat to her protective Aunt. But again, it was a fun visit with these cherished characters. *I received it as part of Goodreads First Reads program. Angora Alibi is the seventh book in the A Seaside Knitters Mystery series. Excitement is growing in Sea Harbor, as Izzy Perry will be having her first baby very soon. One day on a run along the beach Izzy notices, what appears to be, an abandoned babies car seat. As she is expecting, thoughts begin going through her mind at why the seat is there and what happened to the baby. Then one evening Izzy notices Justin Dorsey near the car seat and wonders what his connection might be. She is interrupted in that thought and forgets about it. The next day Justin dies during a scuba diving event and it is later learned that he was murdered. Justin has led a troubled life and everyone is wondering just where he got all the money that he was flashing around just before he was murdered. Even his distant cousin, Jaynie, a nurse at the town's clinic would like to see him gone. Another well written story from Sally Goldebaum that show the community of Sea Harbor can put aside personal differences and work toward the common good of the community. And yes, 10 year old Gabby is back to spend some time with her Grandma Birdie to spread her young vitality. Angora Alibi by Sally Goldenbaum Like this knitting mystery series and hope it continues. Seaside, MA and Izzy is pregnant, the owner of the local knitting shop and she was a lawyer but had left the big city to make her dreams come true. Others are worried about her pregnancy but toss it off as just being busy with work and the classes she teaches at the knitting shop. Series also catches up on others that live in town.....Birdie's jewelry donated to the auction has been taken before the winning bid can get it... Justin shows up dead and many others have heard Jamie say she wishes he was dead, or she'd strangle him. He did die in a scuba diving accident but it's more than that...
