Borte med blæsten af Margaret Mitchell (A.D.Morel)
A.D.Morel: There's this feeling of longing, that she will not quite get there, yet we are passionately rooting for the main character, we go through her travails with her.

No way I can give this an unbiased review because I wrote it. I sure had fun with it! And I keep re-reading it, even though I can't write it any more.

This is a 9/11 suspense novel, which takes place in Maine in 2006. Lewis Rholf, writer of experimental fiction, went to NYC on business in September 2001 and has not been seen since. His widow Maxine struggles to keep her life in balance while she commutes between the coast and the remote cutover North Maine Woods. She is resilient despite lack of money, kids and pets in trouble, family crises, equipment failures, and a trio of quarrelsome motorcyclists who step on her orchids in the north woods. But her friendship with wealthy admirer Byron has gone sour, and she still misses Lewis. At least she has finally started to wear his clothes. One day her daughter Eva reports that she saw Lewis at the Bangor Airport. Could Lewis be alive?

The book is the first in a trilogy. The second book is more than half written and will come out in late 2013 or spring 2014. ( )

I find that I really care about what's happening to them; I'm even...
