Jubal's Wish

Summary:
All Jubal Bullfrog wanted was to have a picnic with someone. He first asked Gerdy Toad but she was too busy doing her chores and taking care of her messy toadlets. Jubal then asked Captain Dalbert Lizard and he turned down Jubal as well. Jubal then met a wizard who gave Jubal a small, twinkling star. The wizard explained the Jubal that this was a wish.
Jubal made his wish. Next thing he knows, it started to rain and he was stuck on a toadstool because it was flooding. A sailboat came to his rescue. Captain Dalbert Lizard, Gerdy Toad, and the toadlets were all in the sailboat and helped Jubal from the water.
Jubal realized that his wish came true, but in a strange way. Captain Dalbert Lizard got his adventure of sailing on his boat. Gerdy Toad and the toadlets helped the Captain with his boat, which made the toadlets behave well. They were all hungry on the boat so Jubal shared his picnic basket with everyone. Jubal's wish came true. ( )

Jubal just wants his friends to be happy. So he makes a wish for everyone to be happy, but when his wish does not come true at first he is very sad. Suddenly a storm washes Jubal away, but he is rescues by his friends. Even though their house got washed away and it is pouring, his friends are happy. Maybe wishes do come true. This is a great story of friendship and how to work together. ( )

I loved the illustrations in this book. The pictures were bright and cheerful. This book is about a frog making a wish for his friends to be happy and less stressed. At the end of the story his wish is granted. ( )

This book is a great book about a frog who sets out to share the great day he is having with a picnic but none of his friends care to enjoy it with him. They are musch too busy in their own selves and emotions. Jubal's gets hearbroken and discouraged. Then a storm raged out of nowhere and Jubals ended up stranded. Hoever, a sailboat in the distance with all of his friends on it saved him just im time.
