This was my first Cherry Adair novel and I really wanted to like it. It sounded quite interesting and I'm always open to new authors. I kept coming back to it but it failed to hold my attention. I didn't feel a connection between the characters. I'm not sure I would call it forced but it just didn't gel with me.

I received a copy of this book from the publisher via Netgalley in exchange for my honest unbiased review. ( )

This book makes me want to run away and become a treasure seeking marine archeologist. Seriously. The descriptions in this book made you almost able to smell the saltwater in the air. I loved everything about this book until the very end. The whole monk guardians was enough to make me roll my eyes. I have the three books before this one, but haven't read them yet but you can be sure I'll be fixing that very soon.

Thanks to Netgalley for the ARC. ( )

I enjoyed this romantic suspense by Cherry Adair. It took me a little while to get into the story but once the scene was set & the characters introduced, the action took off & didn't slow until the end. The plot has enough twists & turns to keep you fully involved until the end. Jonah is trying to prove himself to his brothers & Calista is trying to help out her brother-in-law. The characters were well developed & the chemistry was intense between Jonah & Calista. I do think that this could be read as a stand alone but you miss out on some of the actions between the Cutters & Rydell Case. ( )

Stormchaser by Cherry Adair
Cutter Cay #4

Standalone book but perhaps having read the previous three would have given more background on the Cutter brothers as well as why Rydell, the heroine’s brother-in-law, is a player in this story.

This is Jonah and Callie’s story. Jonah Cutter is into archaeological underwater treasure/salvage hunting and believes he has found the motherlode of all finds under the seas near Greece. He has hired Dr. Calista “Callie” West to authenticate as well as dive and do other academic things on the hunt. Callie is there under pretense with subterfuge and bad intentions predominant in her mind. Little did Callie realize that she would be ensnared by pheromones AND the lure of a potentially huge find that could make her name in academic circles. Add into the brewing forbidden lust between Jonah and Callie a couple groups of nefarious rather ruthless and questionable characters, some disturbing paranormal stuff and a lot of scientific jargon and you have a larger than life story that kept me entertained today. It is not my first choice of book to read but it was enjoyable all in all.

Thank you to NetGalley and St. Martin’s Press for the ARC. This is my honest review.
