Dark Phase: Repatriation is the exciting follow up from Jonathan Davison's acclaimed science fiction title, Dark Phase. Expanding on elements of the first novel and introducing new exciting character's, Repatriation is a sequel truly worthy of the original book! Synopsis:- The sentient's leader Alphin is dead. Sarazen's posthumous legacy endures as The Mother continues to maintain the delicate balance and fulfil the functions of her corrupted programming. However, the young sentient, Trist continues to investigate the aftermath of The Mother's rage determined to offer his community hope of one day finding a release from their subjugation. Meanwhile, deep within an ancient chamber carved into the bowels of a nearby mountain, young and ambitious humans are reborn to reclaim their world which to their astonishment has evolved significantly since they have been 'away'. When it is revealed that the cryogenic programme has been hijacked and the carefully chosen individuals who were selected to continue the human legacy have been usurped, a power struggle begins which will destroy the delicate balance that has been in effect for thousands of years. Dark Phase: Repatriation is a fast paced, cerebral science fiction story encompassing aspects of philosophy, morality and the human spirit. What people said about Dark Phase: (Unsolicited Reviews on Amazon and Goodreads) 'I was pleasantly surprised. For an Indie writer, the style and vocabulary used are uncommonly professional.' 'The development of the main character is fascinating and quite believable. The writing is crisp and flows well.' 'The book takes plenty of time discussing the philosophy of belief and knowledge, human folly and innocence. It was a great read and definitely worth the time. Story and characters are compelling.' 'This is definitely a 5 star read. No spoilers here, but if you like a well written, thoughtful, a "makes you think" ending, this book is for you. The writing is incredible, it reminds me of Isaac Asimov and his lovely writing.' 'Sarazen was a surprisingly likeable character and this book was realistically written and enjoyable.' 'I enjoyed this book immensely. It is the story of a troubleshooting android (silicant) who becomes self aware and when pressured by later self aware models, uses his own beliefs and logic to make his life decision.I can't wait to read more from this author.'… (mere)
