Rabbit decided to make a list of ten things he loved about his friend, Pig. Rabbit suggested to Pig that he should also write a list of the things he loved (about Rabbit) but Pig said he was too busy. So, then Rabbit said “Oh, that gives me an idea! Number 2- I love Pig because he knows how to keep busy.” Rabbit then would tell Pig to leave because he was busy and so off Pig went. Quickly after, Pig would return to Rabbit’s house because he needed help thinking of things to write down and Rabbit would always say something that reminded Pig of something he loved. Finally, Rabbit had ten things written down. It is a funny book. At the end of the book, the reader find out that Rabbit had also written ten things he loved about Pig, although he said he was too busy. I thought this was super sweet! It also reminds children to always make time for their friends. Not only did I enjoy the text, the illustrations were also great. At the end of the book, they actually showed a piece of notebook paper with the ten things Pig and Rabbit loved about each other. It was written in pencil, which helped make it seem realistic. The message of the book was to always be nice to your friends and to make sure you let them know why you love them! ingen anmeldelser | tilføj en anmeldelse

The answer to that last question provides a sweet, heartwarming resolution to the story in Ten Things I Love About You, which, with its story of a friendship between a somewhat over-eager individual and his (mostly) patient pal reminded me a bit of books like Jory John's Goodnight Already, with its similar plot-line. The artwork here is cute, and has a lovely textured feeling at times, no doubt owing to the fact that it was partially painted on wood. Recommended to anyone looking for children's stories about friendship. ( )
