I love Lara Adrain's Midnight Breed series so I was excited to see the short story by her. This story has nothing to do with the MB series so you need to get that set in your mind before you begin reading this. I think you also need to keep in mind this is a short story. Things happen at a different pace in a short story. I read the story with an open mind to it and enjoyed it. I loved having a story with trolls, a dragon and hellhounds in it. I am hoping this story gets turned into a longer book.
I do agree with another reviewer who mentioned the story stopped long before 100%. I, too, dislike when a book does that. I would have appreciated a disclosure that the story is only a bit over 50% and the rest of the book contains samples from the author's books. It did not take away my pleasure in reading the story but I do appreciate honesty in advertisement. ( )

I was so into the story that when it ended, I was still looking for the ending. I feel like I was jipped out of more reading but if she makes a paper copy of the book, I will definitely get it. Love Lara Adrian. ( )
