20p on Kindle! The perfect bog read, there's some fascinating little tidbits here that are ideal for reading when you only have a minute or two to spare. ( )

A collection of 'quite interesting' facts and trivia from the makers of the television show QI. The facts themselves are attention-grabbing and some are mind-boggling. That said, there's little to distinguish the book from other trivia/factoid books, other than the fact that QI operates with a less ostentatious – and consequently more confident – humour (i.e. it's less hey, learning is fun!" than it is "hey, y'know, learning is fun!").

In truth, it's hard to go wrong with books of this sort, providing you're reassured that the facts are well-sourced. This QI book excels here too; it mentions at the end of the book that the sources can be found online at www.qi.com/1227. This is a great choice as it means the book remains intellectually responsible and offers avenues for those who wish to know more, without compromising brevity for those who want a quick fix of facts." Lots of useless or interesting facts

This book brought me lots of both useless and interesting facts. Such as "In 2010, the BBC spent nearly £230,000 on tea, but only £2,000 on biscuits." When I'll need these facts I don't know but now I have them. ( )
