What happened next brought the attention of the world and an investigation by TV reporter Matt Bowens. While authorities debated whether to close off the Everglades to a worried public, Bowens followed the trail from the glades to the boardrooms of Fort Lauderdale in search of the truth. When the attacks come close to his girlfriend's business, it all becomes personal. A man's body is found in the Florida Everglades. Police ask the local media for help because they're not sure if the man was a homicide victim or killed by a non-human, a Florida panther.

Matt Bowens is a TV reporter who comes to the scene and immediately notices something about the body that makes him want to investigate.

Emotions run high as sentiments differ about relocating the panther, killing it or from the animal rights groups, to leave it to remain free.

Matt goes further and checks into the man's background to see if there might be motive for murder.

There is a secondary story about Matt's relationship with his girlfriend, ironically nicknamed Cat.

I found the storyline to be predictable but enjoyed the information about the Florida panther. It added knowledge to the Florida licence plates that bear the motto to 'save our panther.' ( )
