Frances is jealous of the attention her baby sister, Gloria, is getting, so she "runs away" to under the dining room table, but returns when she hears her parents talking about her. ( ) Frances's new baby sister seems to have everyone's attention. No one has time for Frances, until one day she decides to do something about it. "Well," said Frances, "things are not very good around here anymore. No clothes to wear. No raisins for the oatmeal. I think maybe I'll run away." And she does, but not too far away. Just far enough so she can still hear her parents say how much she is missed. This is a story about a little badger family, particularly the daughter, Frances. Her parents had just had another baby girl and Frances became upset because things weren't the same with a baby sister in the house. Because of this she runs away - to underneath the dining room table. From there she hears her parents talking about how much they miss her and she decides to go home. Uses: I feel like this is almost a better book for parents to read than children! But I feel like it would be a good one to read with kids who are grumpy about their new little sibling. I might not use it in class, as I feel like it is better suited to be a bedtime story. Medium: pastel Media: Colored Pencils This is a delightful story of how Frances feels after the birth of her younger sibling. Many children feel the same way that Frances feels in this book after the addition of a new sibling. It is a good story to help teach children that even when a change occurs in the family, they are not loved any less. This is a very relate-able story. ingen anmeldelser | tilføj en anmeldelse
