![]() Ingen Der er ingen diskussionstråde på Snak om denne bog. Poems about domestic, wild, and magical animals. Uses humor and stereotype. (easy, poetry) This is a collaborative effort between William and Jeanne Steig. I had not been aware before finding this book that William Steig's wife was even involved in the field of children's literature. William Steig does the illustrations. The book is a compilation of poems that focus on a variety of animals in the animal kingdom all the way up to a poem on man in the last page. Some of the words may be too advanced for young readers, but it would make for a good vocabulary expanding exersize. A fun activity would be to pick an animal that is not in the book and try to make a poem about it, or at the very least have children list that animal's attributes. ingen anmeldelser | tilføj en anmeldelse

Summary: This book of poems is about all different types of animals. I could use this book in a classroom to show different types of poems and rhyming structures such as aa bb. I could also just use this book for some fun out loud reading. This was a good poetry book because of the different types of poetry within the book. This book is also a great example of a poetry book due to the fact the book adds some fun to poetry.
