Fiction.
Romance.
HTML: Mistress. It sounded so sordid, so impersonal, so far removed from the kind of relationship Marley Jameson had with Greek hotel magnate Chrysander Anetakis. What she thought she had. Until he abruptly broke things off between them and told her to leave his luxurious apartment. Three months later, Marley awakens in the hospital, with no memory of what happened before she got there. She can't remember her past, Chrysander...or the baby she carries. All she knows is that when Chrysander sweeps her away to his private Greek island, being with him feels like home. Even though he never speaks of love, surely his protectiveness and his desire for her prove how much she means to him. Until she remembers the truth.... Featured in a 2 for 1 re-print, The Mistress is a of classic Harlequin titles, think Harlequin Super-romance. The story has all the romantic elements that to this day make Harlequin one of the premier romance publishers.
If you are looking for a heroine who has suffered emotional trauma and is tortured by past events, Marley Jameson will tear at your heartstrings. Think larger than life, arrogant and self-assured and a picture of Chrysander Anetakis pops into mind. Ha! What a name!
The Mistress in a nutshell is about facing ones fears in relationship and coming to terms with then and seeking forgiveness. An interlude in fluffy romance. I did enjoy my trip back in time.
Review of Wanted Mistress and Mother as with the other novel in this double offering, Wanted Mistress and Mother screams "I am a romance novel throwback". while the story is engaging in its telling, it absents of raw passion and desire can be felt in every word. For a trip down memory lane, when romance was sweet and less explicit, Wanted Mistress and Mother fits the bill.
