Not sure why I read this, but, I did like it a lot more than the first volume. It also made a whole lot more sense than the first volume did, and by the end of it, again, I did want to read the next part of the red, green, rot saga. In this volume we also get to known who the rot's avatar is, so now we know who it is that Alec (Swamp Thing) and Maxine have to go against. We also got to see more of Animal Man's backstory from a totally different point of view. Now if only Cliff Baker would get a haircut the title would be oh so much better. I still don't love the art, but perhaps I'm getting used to it. ingen anmeldelser | tilføj en anmeldelse

Jeff Lemire is killing it. Travel Foreman and Steve Pugh are killing it. The small focus on the family and making Animal weak makes this series so thrilling in that you know Animal Man isn’t a strong like Aquaman or Wonder Woman but a relatively weak superhero. The small moments are just as great as the shocking moments in that Lemire is constantly wanting you more of everything. The pacing is still incredible and the only negatives I have was the inclusion of Constantine and Zatanna and the drop in art of the middle of the book
Best:
-Buddy helping Cliff showoff to the girls
-Maxine getting shredded to pieces only to find out she’s still alive
-Buddy crossing the Red
-the characterization of EVERY character in this book
-Animal Man being taken over by the Rot
-Animal Man being stitched up a new body
-expanding on the lore
Bad:
-Constantine and Zatanna felt not necessary
-drop in art for an issue ( )
