A fun short about a big city tax auditor, Kevin, sent back to his small hometown to do an audit on a construction company. He runs into the sexy Liam who he doesn't remember and suddenly the small town life doesn't look so bad. A nice twist at the end leaves this story open for future development. ( )

Cute story about Kevin a tax accountant traveling on business back to his old home town where he grew up. There he meets Liam a hot construction worker. This is the same scrawny Liam that Kevin knew in high school. Unfortunately Kevin doesn't remember Liam, but Liam hasn't forgotten Kevin, the person he first crushed on when he was fourteen.

Kevin comes across as a bit of a jerk, but as the story unfolds, it appears more that he is unhappy and has lost track of his dreams and what brings him peace. Liam on the other hand, seems to be at peace with who he is, where he lives and the work he does. Kevin slowly starts to become more comfortable with returning to his home town and the start of a possible relationship with Liam.

So glad the author is going to continue on with the story of Kevin and Liam in Castor Springs. ( )

3.5 Overall a cute story about 2 men that knew each other back in their teen years and reconnect 12 years later. One was a tax auditor and one a big, sweaty, construction guy. It was simple and sweet with really no angst, but I think if it had been fleshed out and continued along with a few word choice changes, it could have helped. I see that the author has plans for more stories in this location so that made me happy and hopefully we will read more about these guys' story. ( )

Cute, but it left me with more loose ends than I care for. This premise would have been better suited to a novella or novel. There was too much history between the characters left unexplored and I was left hanging as to how things worked out for them. ( )

Cute story of being back from where you came and finding something you didn't even know you lost. While it was a short and quick paced story I really loved both the characters because Kevin wasn't mean just clueless and in the Liam got what he wanted and then some. ( )
