This book covers the entire process/events leading up to what most kids will know as the "Boston Tea Party". The dumping of tea off of British ships into the harbor is also told in great detail as well. Kid's will learn that colonist disguised themselves as Native American to carry out the "mission". They are illustrated in "blackface" with feathers on their heads and face paint. They are mimicking the Mohawk tribe, which was explained in the back of the book, which included maps and a complete timeline of events. ( )

The Boston Tea Party is a thorough, engaging tale of the historical event. I particularly liked the use of quotes and stories of the men who actually participated in the event. The book is thoroughly researched and is a good source of information for students who would be writing a report. However, it is written in a way that would make it a good read-aloud, with first-person accounts and a story-telling quality. Overall, it is a high quality informational text for students of all ages. ( )

This book is a very informative and in-depth book about the circumstances surrounding the Boston Tea Party. It includes an excellent introduction, an afterword and a timeline. I'd recommend this book. ( )

It was about the Boston Tea Party that happened on December 16, 1773. It gave context to what happened prior to that event and how people knew something was going to happen because people didn't pay their taxes. It goes into detail about the people that were involved that how much on an impact it had on society then and now.

I feel as if this book would be best used to read to second graders yet i feel like it would be a fun book fro third grade students to read independently due to the amount of information they can grasp and how they will be more able to connect details to each other and the pictures.
