"After being discarded on the floor of an art museum, Stub (a museum ticket) has nowhere to go until Daisy the docent's helper (a name tag) finds him and offers him a tour of the museum. Stub meets a badge who keeps the artworks safe, a computer who archives them, and other characters who work there. From the director's office to the library to the conservator's studio to the loading dock, Stub discovers who does what, and what goes on, behind the scenes at the museum. He even finds a home for himself among the museum's many treasures! David Goldin combines actual artworks by famous artists, found pieces, and digital art to tell Stub's sweet story. Filled with fun facts and a glossary, the book wonderfully introduces young readers to all that museums have to offer"--… (mere)

This book is a cute narrated book that teaches kids about visiting art museums. It has beneficial vocabulary for students to learn and teaches etiquette about visiting a museum. Would be a good book to read before a field trip. ( )

This is a modern fantasy story with informational aspects throughout the story. It begins with a ticket stub coming to life after it was not swept away by the custodial team. A name tag immediately introduces herself to the ticket stub as Daisy and begins taking him on a tour of the museum. Throughout the ticket stub is introduced to the "coat check," museum etiquette, multiple types of art that are real in today's world, museum jobs such as being a curator, museum temperature, lighting, and more. By the end of the book the ticket stub has learned so much, but is intrigued by a final piece of art with a ticket stub design. When Daisy the name tag turns around to see where the ticket stub went she finds him stuck to the art he was intrigued by, and he fit right in with the other ticket stubs. ( )
