I loved this book! From the author of "Goodnight Moon" comes an adorable story of a mouse learning how to count to ten. The precious illustrations show the mouse running in and out of the book and encountering a number of scenarios along the way (ex. three fish, seven apples), all teaching him how to count to ten. In a classroom setting, teachers assign each student a number and have them paint or draw their own page to make into a classroom counting book. Teachers cold also hold counting contests to see who can count the fastest or the highest without mistakes. ( )

A cute and fun book for children learning how to count or read. The text is playfully written on the page that is not difficult to read. The author also uses repetition and rhyming to tell the story of a mouse moving through the holes and next pages to see the next number. ( )

This is a GREAT book for a child having trouble with numbers, or even a child who loves numbers! This book is all about a mouse counting to ten. It is easy for a child to enjoy this book because it has a mouse in it and it rhymes! The illustrations are cute and the font is in a fun format, which changes font sizes throughout the book. I recommend this number book for any child who loves numbers, who is challenged by numbers, or who is not interested in numbers. This book is sure to help make a child enjoy numbers 1-10! ( )

Count to Ten with a Mouse by Margaret Wise Brown is a very cute preschool book on counting to ten. It includes very colorful and vivid illustrations. The story is of a mouse going into holes through the book and finding different things on each page that he counts like three fish and then four monkeys. The book also includes rhyme and repetition, which makes it fun and allows children to repeat certain phrases as they are being read to. It would also be a great book to help children who are learning how to count. I like this counting book a lot! ( )
