British Carriage and Wagon Builders and Repairers 1830-2006

I was very surprised to find myself the sole owner of this book as it has now sold out.However it is getting very rare for me to buy any book with more than 1 or 2 similarly misguided members,so perhaps I'm not so mainstream as I thought.None of this has anything to do with this book which combines a gazetteer of independent rolling stock builders and repairers,who keep our trains running.An introduction to how the non -company works started and evolved and still exist today albeit in a more concentrated form,precedes an alphabetical list of each company ,the descriptions vary in size from 2 or 3 lines to 2 or 3 pages,and it is fully illustrated in period and current images.Anyone interested in carriages and wagons will find this rewarding.
