In the literary book of economics, Michael Watts uses selections from literature as examples of economic theories. This works for the most part. Most of the examples are good ones that I will use when teaching, but there are a few that could have used more context or that were not great examples. I also liked that there were examples were balanced politically, which must have been a challenge. This isn't a great textbook on its own, but it would be a useful ancillary text for an economics teacher or student. ( ) ingen anmeldelser | tilføj en anmeldelse
Presents an innovative approach to economic education and literacy. Building on empirical research showing that economic principles are best learned when integrated into other fields, the author uses seventy-eight selections from classic and contemporary fiction, drama, poetry, and prose to give flesh to more than twenty major economic concepts, issues, and themes.
