I found myself noting the wonderful balance that David Mercier brings to his discussion of health and healing. So often it seems that people are polarized in favor of traditional approaches to medicine (pharmacotherapy, surgery, etc.) OR alternative approaches, and it is rare to encounter as reasonable and open minded an approach as is conveyed in this book, i.e., an approach in which it is acknowledged that each has its place. I liked this book so much that I may read it again. The tone of the book is quietly reassuring. The author seems honest and believable. I received this book as a Member Giveaway and my opinion is my own. ( )
