I felt it was more of Microsoft bashing which i guess company really deserves after having read the book.
Not very much on Google but there is more of Microsoft and Apple.
One should read this book to know the inner working (or the work culture) of these three big companies, the thought process that each of these companies have related to products etc.
At times the book felt bit drag but overall it was good read. ( )

Great book. Well written and full of detail. The only reason I give it four stars is because the book's conclusion does nothing but praise Steve Jobs and Apple. Prior to that point it is pretty unbiased though. Definitely worth reading if you are interested in how computer technology evolves. ( )

A quick read. Telling the story of three technology companies struggling to secure their futures as the ubiquity of the Internet and mobile connectivity changes everything.

I found it a fascinating story. Three companies with very different starting points and different goals nevertheless entwined as competitors.

It also gives a perspective on how fast things have changed in 20 years. At one point I thought 'wow, is it only seven years since YouTube started?'.

Interesting to see how the culture of an organization seems to get fixed so that it is very difficult to be large and innovative. Microsoft is stuck on its two pillars, Windows and Office. Can Apple continue to bring disruptive products to shake up the markets? Will Nokia be the first the handset maker to survive a loss making period?
