It is different because it is comical but it has a great big message. I like the illustrations throughout the book because it adds to the story. The pictures make it almost more comical. For example, the facial expressions on each the characters’ faces, such as the minister or the officer, show such surprise and a loss speech and they proceed to look closer still being very confused. The illustrations helped me see how confused they were but it also allowed me to see how excited the king was although he did not know what was happening. Overall I liked the story because it was comical but I really liked the big message. The big message of the story is do not let your pride get in the way. In the story all of the royalty and people in office were too afraid to the truth before their pride and this lead to the emperor walking with clothes in front of the town. It is better to swallow your pride because sometimes when you don’t you will end up embarrassed. ( ) The Emperor's New Clothes is a funny book about an emperor who is fooled by weavers that were supposed to be making him beautiful clothes. All the adults in the book are tricked into thinking the weavers are really making beautiful clothes and they are all too prideful to say that they do not see any clothes being made. Worried that they might be looked at as stupid, is the main reason the adults go along with the tricksters. I loved the out spoken truth of the children at the end that yell "he's naked". Being too prideful and worrying too much about what others think, can lead to a pretty embarrassing situation. This is a funny story that can be used to teach a valuable lesson. 'The Emperor's New Clothes' is a story about an emperor who's love of outfits and clothes lead him to fall for a trick from two tricksters. Children will enjoy this story because they will see just how gullible the emperor is and how far the emperor will go in order to not seem stupid to his people, even though the decision he had made to trust the tricksters shows he has a silly quality about himself. ingen anmeldelser | tilføj en anmeldelse
