This book is extremely interactive and would encourage a small child to use their imaginations. Each page has a baby animal and you have to guess what they will grow up to be! This book describes the developmental process in a simple way that would satisfy a young child. This book also describes many things about each baby animal and how they act and survive as they grow. Informative, sweet, and fun! ( )

Colorful pictures and engaging flip-the-flap pages draw in the reader to a world filled with different types of animals. This book provides easy to read, as well as easy to comprehend, information on the classification of animals. It also presents the life cycle of each class, using the method of prediction. The classes include: birds, mammals, reptiles, amphibians, and fish. This text, along with "Who's Like Me", another book in the Uncover and Discover series, make great resources. They teach make different reading strategies, such as making predictions and inferences. I most definitely recommend these books to anyone with a child or student in grades K through 3. ( )

This book gives an inside brief look at the life cycle of many different animals. It is a book that uses flaps where students use context and pictorial clues to predict what the baby animal will grow into as an adult. I read this book to a first grade class and it was very interactive and they loved it! ( )
