Fantasy. Fiction. Romance. HTML:

Cora Goode has woken up in a fairytale world where she can understand what birds are saying to her, men ride horses and have fluffy feathers in their hats and furniture zigs, zags and whirls in miracles of construction.

The problem is, she thinks she's in a dream but she's actually taken the place of the parallel universe Cora and without realizing it, our Cora does something that starts a centuries old curse that will sweep the land if she gets captured by the evil Minerva.

At this point, her dream world becomes a nightmare.

Luckily, hot guy, fantasyland Noctorno is there to save her from the clutches of the grotesque vickrants sent by Minerva to capture her. Unfortunately, hot guy, fantasyland Noctorno doesn't like the Cora of his world all that much (to say the least) and he thinks our Cora is her. And no matter what our Cora says or does to try to convince him, he won't be convinced.

But Cora needs Tor to keep her safe and guide her through this fantastical world as she hopes one day to wake up in her not-so-great apartment in her not-so-great life in her world. The problem is, the more time she spends with the gorgeous warrior Tor, the faster she falls in love with him.

Yet another world class story!
Easily a 5.5 plus stars.
I don't know who Kristen Ashley does it, but each book in this series is fresh, entertaining and absolutely amazing. Once you start reading it, you can not put it down.
The characters are fully developed and the story keeps your undivided attention.
Amazing writing. Amazing world build. Amazing characters.
The romance is adult. The suspense is non-stop. Twist and turns that keep you gasping and making other audible sounds that tend to get the attention of others around you.
I don't know what sound I made, but my husband looked at me with that eyebrow thing and asked me if I was okay. I just shrugged and kept on reading. ( )

Another amazing story, Cora and Tor, so much feeling in this book. Really felt for Cora, she has no way to prove she is telling the truth. Some really funny and truly emotional scenes.

KA gives each person in her books their own distinctive features, Tor speaks very politely, very clever.
Although I love this book at the start he is pretty cruel to her, it's understandable why but she has no way to prove she is being truthful, I really felt for her.

The character of Tor and Cora are married but of course it's not Cora of this world he is with now but he and Cora of his world did not get along at all, due to her actions so he had sex with other women.
Our Cora becomes aware of this and although she is technically not his wife, it is hurtful as things are brought up at times.
There is a very painful scene which is extremely hurtful to Cora.
No intimate scenes with anyone other than the Hero and heroine.
I think this is the only book where the Hero gets to see 'our world' which is imteresting.
HEA.
Although the enemy plotline continues through the series.

Another beautiful world

Another story about true love as only Kristen Ashley can write. Strong men and smart, sassy women. Cora and Tor belong together and this is their story. ( )

Cora wakes up in a fairy tale land, no one believes she's been switched the the Cora of the fantasyland was a bitch. She finds herself wed to a Prince who can't stand her. As in all fairytales, there's evil to fight off. Some interesting twists. Was an okay read.

This book is most definitely my favorite of the series so far. Tor is going into my top BBF's of 2018. Yes, I know he was written earlier than the current year but that is when I read him.

I'm typical fashion, this author continues to weave this amazing world in such a way that it astonished me. I can only imagine this is what people felt like when they saw Technicolor the very first time.

This story had a more fairytale feel to it than the others. I kept getting little images of Snow White, Cinderella, and Sleeping Beauty in how certain things were described. I loved Cora in this book. She was a fictional People's Princess. I really liked the concept of sharing a soul and the curse.

I really appreciate the author tying in the other characters and bringing them all together. It raised a lot of questions that I hope will be answered in the next book.

Hands down one of the best I have read this year and this entire series is going into the all-time favorites vault. ( )
