Hero Nash Wilder (former commando, who now works in private security) is not thrilled about his latest assignment. He is to bodyguard a poodle! But his boss puts pressure on him, so Nash gives in and goes for four days to the Vegas Dog Show guarding poodle Tsini, and the dog’s owner, socialite heiress Kayla Landon. As Nash gets to know Kayla, and grows to like her, he realizes she is the one in danger. And the culprit could be someone close to her…

This was a fun read. I really liked the storyline, set at a Vegas dog show. It was amusing hearing alpha hero Nash’s inner thoughts as he guards a dog. Nash and Kayla had great chemistry. Nash was a sexy and protective hero. Kayla was a good heroine, not an airhead “Popcorn Princess” as the media labeled her.
