I absolutely enjoyed this book! I first heard this book read aloud for a book discussion for a class. As a future math teacher, this would be a perfect book to share with math for middle grades! It takes you on a math adventure! It starts with a boy whose teacher says “everything involves math.” After she had said this, the boy and his friends believed they were cursed because the only thing they could think about was math. The boy soon realizes that the only way to break the curse is to solve math problems! It’s a very interesting book and I highly recommend it! ( )

This book is about a student who thinks he has a math curse. The boys teacher told the class they could see anything as a math problem and from there the story takes the boy on a math adventure. The only way for the boy to break the curse is to solve the math problems. This is a great problem solving book for student as well as showing them that mathematics can arise in everyday situations. This book is great for many subjects in math since it covers many topics throughout the book. it would be great to use as an introduction into a math class in the middle grades. It is fun to read and has many interesting ways to view math in everything that we do in our daily lives. ( )
