Black ops specialist Mitch Mendoza had thought this South American rescue mission would be routine. But the jungle held unexpected dangers: deadly snakes, armed drug runners and Megan Cassidy. The undercover CIA agent had legs for miles and a hidden agenda--one that interfered with Mitch's plans. So though he was a lone wolf, he had to keep her close, or risk letting his mission fail. After years of working alone, Mitch found himself distracted by Megan's steely resolve and her soft curves. And he couldn't afford that. Not if he wanted this assignment to be a success...and get both of them out of the jungle alive.… (mere)

Last Spy Standing takes you on a thrilling adventure through the jungles of South America. Plenty of dangers befall the couple throughout the book who are at odds with each other over their conflicting missions.

Mitch Mendoza works for the black ops group SDDU and his mission is to rescue a young spoiled brat who is an addict who was kidnapped by a drug lord. Megan Cassidy works for the CIA and has been undercover for a year with said drug lord in hopes of finding her brother and needs to bring the kid back to the drug lord as a way of getting invited to a location she thinks her brother is being held.

Mitch and Megan are constantly trying to outwit the other through most of the book to make their mission succeed which is written with plenty of humor and harrowing escapes from all sorts of things.

This was a great book!!! Not too long and took about 1.5-2hr to read. Really enjoy Dana's writing. It kept the story going. for a change, the storyline spoke for itself rather letting sex tension and steamy scenes fill the pages.

It was a refreshing change! A great book to read on ones Birthday like for me today! Enjoy! ( )

In Marton's romantic suspense novel, Black Ops Specialist Mitch Mendoza was in South America on a routine rescue mission. The jungle was filled with snakes, drug runners and undercover CIA agent, Megan Cassidy. Mitch worked alone and found Megan's determination and figure distracting, but the mission forced him to keep her close. If he wanted the mission to succeed, he had to find a way to get them both out alive. A fast-paced, adventure filled story. ( )

The unforgiving South American sun scorched Mitch Mendoza's neck as he watched three men on the hillside below him through a pair of high-powered binoculars.
