Students will be very engaged in the book and will finish the book feeling as if they just ate a piece of pie too. Very well written. This book starts out with the Ma and Pa Brindle who can not seem to fall asleep. So they decide to make sweet dream pie which has all types of candy and food in it. Later their neighbors come over to enjoy their pie and they all begin to start having crazy and wild dreams. This book is all about fantasy and the imagination, it could be used to start out a lesson that will get students brainstorming about what types of crazy dreams they have had before. This story is a fun read because of the original plot and inventive plot. The story starts out when an old man gets his wife to make her special sweet dream pie, but she makes it cautiously because there are consequences for eating to much. It takes all day for the gigantic pie to cook when it is finished it is big enough for the couple to share with the whole neighborhood. While the old wife is giving everyone a sslice no one heeds her warning to only eat one slice and when everyone goes to bed after eating several slices of pie everyine has wild dreams that come to life whil they are sleeping. The old wife is up most of the night frghting off the wild dreams with her broom. I found this author's site infomative and inviting because its name is the Audrey Wood Clubhouse. the site can be found at http://www.audreywood.com ingen anmeldelser | tilføj en anmeldelse
