I'm happy to know more about the Louvin Brothers but the hyperbole around the book was just that and, at the end of the day, it was just another musical biography. Charlie Louvin gives us a tell-all of the dirt-poor cotton-farming brothers' rise to the top of the 1950's country charts, and the ruination brought on by his older brother Ira's hard drinking and short temper.
