Indlæser... The Big Lebowski: Screenplayaf Ethan Coen, Joel Coen
![]() Ingen Der er ingen diskussionstråde på Snak om denne bog. ![]() ![]() This is the script for the movie The Big Lebowski. That's pretty much it, really. I bought it a few years ago at a library sale, and I'm honestly not sure why. I mean, I like The Big Lebowski. I've seen it a couple of times (albeit not very recently). I even own the soundtrack. But I'm not the kind of superfan who regards the Dude as their personal role model and guru, and I hardly had a burning need to own it in script form. So it sat on my shelves for quite a while. But last night I was incredibly sleep-deprived and brain-dead, but still wanted something to read, and figured something short and fun and already familiar would be about what I could handle, so I took it down and read it. And, yep... It's the script for The Big Lebowski. Which is fun, although encountering it in this form isn't remotely the same, without the acting and the visuals and the music. Walter is still hilarious, though, even in print. But, really, don't read this instead of watching the movie. That would just be kind of dumb. Rating: I'm going to call it 4/5, just because I'd rate the movie itself at least that high. Loved the movie so I had to read the book. This is one case where I enjoyed the movie more than the book - which I suppose makes sense considering that the book is based on the movie. Don't buy this thinking you're going to get more than you got in the movie - it's not the case. It is, however, very entertaining. ingen anmeldelser | tilføj en anmeldelse
The screenplay to another offbeat movie by the Academy Award-winning Coen brothers. As a result of a case of mistaken identity, Jeffrey Lebowski - alias The Dude - finds himself entangled in a kidnapping caper as a bag man - a situation that goes from bad to even worse due to the interference of his hapless bowling partners. Like the award-winning Fargo, The Big Lebowski is suffused with a droll humour and exhibits the Coen brothers' ability to frighten, entertain and startle the audience's expectations.
