This story is great for a cultural diversity lesson, and it offers vocabulary to be learned and a recipe that the teacher could make during Science with the mixing of solids and liquids. The book is a level 4.4

Sweet story. Miriam is very likeable. Not strong for the award, though. ( )

Miriam is going to her grandparnets house to celebrate Passover with her family. She loves Passover and all the traditions that come along with the holiday. Miriam eats matzah everyday and grows tired of the taste. Due to it being Passover she is not allowed to consume bread product, but lucky for her her grandfather makes the best matzah brie; french toast made out of matzah. ( )
