Author: Gideon Defoe Age: YA, Adult Genre: humor, pirates, adventure A short and funny tale guarantee laughs out loud on every other page. However, at times it got a little too silly. I like the facts in the footnotes. One fact I learn is the exasperation freeze the ball off a brass monkey. To keep cannon balls from rolling on the ship deck. Brass plates were put under the cannon balls. When it gets cold out the brass contract and the canon ball will follow off. hangs the saying. Not at all what I through it was. I type in Gideon Defoe in my library cataloged to see if they more of the pirates and the animated movie Pirates Band of Mischief was the only thing that came up. Make me wonder if the movie bases off of these books. Characters: 4/5 If each of them has names I think it will add more than just be call the pirate with... Plot: 3/5 wasn't must of an adventure with Ahab Writing 5/5 1 Adult humor 1 for all the facts in the footnotes Total: 14/20= 4*stars* Read this book aloud on car trips to Jefferson and Andrew. I thought most of it was over Jefferson's head (well, a lot of the humor really was), but then when we finally finished the book, Jefferson kept asking about it. We started reading another book in this series, but misplaced it not long ago. Time to go on a hunt so we can see how it ends! ingen anmeldelser | tilføj en anmeldelse

Got a lot out of the footnotes, including an enjoyable visit to Oxford's pitt museum ( )
