Cute but not as good as her deadwood series ( )

Fun read ( )

Claire and her raunchy gramps are staying in an RV park in Arizona, along with a bunch of other raunchy seniors. Human bones, the effort to save the RV park owner's land from the mining company, search for buried treasure, and a smart mouthed adventurous main character sets up the ride.

And their is a love interest (with some sexy scenes). And cursing. And drinking and wishing for a cigarette, so if these things offend you, you may not enjoy the book.

I did - probably 3.5 stars worth. There is at least one more in this series - I may try another. ( )

I tried to really like this, but there was something off-putting to me about the crude nature of some of the characters. I'm far from a prude, but at times, the off-color conversations seemed more than a little gratuitous. Which is a shame because I thought it had a good plot and overall fun characters. Just a little less of the dirty old men stuff please. I got the point. I didn't need to be hammered over the head with it. ( )

In this engaging mystery, Claire Morgan has accompanied her grandfather to the Dancing Winnebagos RV Park in southern Arizona to keep an eye on him and his elderly pals as they carouse for women. But when Claire discovers a leg bone in the desert, her natural curiosity leads her into a whodunit concerning a mine. She must also contend with Mac Garner, a sexy geotechnician exploring the area for his Aunt Ruby, owner of the RV park. ‘Dance of the Winnebagos’ is a fun-filled ride starring a cast of colorful characters. With laugh-out-loud dialogue and a smoldering romance between Claire and Mac, this was a story I couldn’t put down. This is the first book in The Jackrabbit Junction Mystery series and I certainly look forward to reading the rest! ( )
