I did not connect with this book. Whether it was the illustrations or the overall framework of the story, I could not find my self to appreciate this story. The choice of structuring the narration in various shapes was somewhat annoying. I had to constantly maneuver the book to read the narration. The story basic illustrates how country fairs are conducted. ( )

Descibes the many different activities at a fair and how each contest is judged. It is creative how the words are written in boxes around the pictures which make some words upside down. This would be a fun read aloud for kindergarten. ( )
