In the exotic land of Marrakesh, Omar Bakhoum joins an airship expedition into the freezing north in search of a fabled country called Ysland, but howling ice storms, legions of ghosts, and a deadly samurai stand between Omar and his goal. His journey has barely begun before the members of the expedition team begin dying, and as the last remaining foreigner on board, Omar is accused of the murders. I received this book free from LibraryThing in return for an honest review.

I found this story enjoyable. I really like the main character. I idea behind the story is intrigues me.

Omar is a warrior, who has a mystical sword. He has found a way to live forever. The sword holds the souls of all who have been slain by it, & they are under the power of the bearer of the sword.

This short story has Omar looking for the Ysland where the sun- steel, which the sword is made of, is originally from. ( )

Another awesome book by this author. I rarely buy books, but I have bought the ones I did not win through librarything.com. Loved every one of them. Waiting for the next one to come out! ( )

The Lost Airship is a steampunk short story with swords. The characters don't have enough time to be fleshed out, but the time the reader does spend with them they appear to have some depth. The plot is very interesting, and leaves many questions to wonder about. There are several books connected to it and this small taste makes the reader want more. In short: Well written and satisfying short read. ( )

This book was written clearly and is perfectly suited for a teenager looking for a good fantasy ride. It is the first book out of this series that I have ever read and I was able to understand the world quickly. It was a little short and felt as though the author wanted to fit more in a short timeline. This leaves the reader feeling a little rushed. That said the action in the book was great and readers can look forward to an epic scene involving an aircraft and lightning quick ninja reflexes. Its a fun read and suggested if your looking to be entertained.

Writing style legibility 3/3
entertaining 2/3
pacing 1/3
