I am a fan of Zak Bagans and the Ghost Adventures paranormal investigative team of his friends including Nick Groff and his wife.
I think sometimes Americans in general have a atypical boastful, arrogance and seem to think they are better than everyone else, have more experience or knowledge than everyone else about the paranormal.
If they were willing to accept other people's point of view, their beliefs and spiritual practices, personal, individual paranormal experiences it would be helpful to expand their point of view, knowledge of the paranormal, occult/witchcraft as well.
You just have to be more respectful, open-minded and accepting of various spiritual beliefs, spiritual practices.
I personally think the term/phrase "𝐆𝐡𝐨𝐬𝐭 𝐇𝐮𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐫" is disrespectful to the dead, to spirits & the spiritual realm, since a lot of places that Zak & his friends go to is Native American land where the spirits were massacred, murdered, where they suffered, where spirits of people that were once living may have been abused, tortured, committed suicide, they were murdered by a serial killer.
Your not there to continue their suffering, so show some respect, ask for permission to speak to spirits first, then ask spirits that want to communicate with you, what they want to say, the living speak for the dead.
Anyone that's a empath, psychic, medium, witch are a intermediary for the dead, a vessel, a conduit for them channel their energy and to speak through them, to connect the realm of the living with the realm of the dead.
I can relate to Zak about feeling anxiety, and having social anxiety, I'm as equally shy, awkward and find it difficult to talk to people especially when they aren't relatable, like-minded people.
I've had my own paranormal experiences since I was a teenager & I am a believer, I always will be.
It's interesting that Zak has past-life memories, dreams or visions of what he did/who he was in a past-life, I also have the same feelings, dreams and visions abut my own past-lives.
It's hard to explain to sceptical, non-believers though.
I've always been curious if Zak's friends have had personal experiences of the paranormal and if they are believers as well.
Spirits need energy from a outside source, they can drain the energy from electronic equipment, from human beings, from animals, the environment, during a thunderstorm or other naturally occurring extreme weather in nature.
Or from nature itself, where there are leylines within the earth, a natural source of power, people practicing witchcraft in these areas amplifies, enhances the energy so it might have a positive, negative or neutral effect on nature, animals, the land itself or people.
There may be a spiritual doorway, a portal or vortex of energy that spirits, angels, demons, devil's, entities, elementals, animal spirits, cryptids, shapeshifters or Deities use to travel between dimensions, realms.
The source of energy whatever it is the spirit uses helps the spirit to visually, audibly, physically, manifest itself, so you may see, hear them, you may feel their energy/presence around you, you may feel influenced by the spirit emotionally, psychically, spiritually. Spirits can manifest themselves in various ways, as a apparition, mist, shadow person, a pleasant or horrific, rotten, smell associated with death. There are different types of spirits, some are evil spirits, there are various types of beings, entities, demons, devil's, elementals, cryptids, some maybe a thoughtform or tulpa. ( )

I am a skeptic. I read this book hoping gain some insight. I did, but not enough to change my mind. Bagans talks a lot about the tools of the trade and the people who make these unique items. ( )

I have to say this was definitely an interesting read. The first person perspective of what he and the crew had went through. While I feel that maybe some of the things that they have experienced on the show might just be tricks of the trade, I believe that some if not most of what they have seen and done are indeed true. I would read this again if only to add to the knowledge of the paranormal. It gives another view point and experience. I love the quirks that were added in but the history that Zak and Kelly provided about the different locations makes it better. ( )

This book was written and reads in Zak's dramatic tone. There is nothing to surprise you in this book. It's really just extra stuff to the Ghost Adventures TV show told by Zak's perspective as well as a bit of his biography.

If you're a fan of the show, you'll enjoy the book, that's the only reason I give it 4 stars. I'm not saying that Ghost Adventures guys are legit or their investigations are legit, but the book was fun and interesting. ( )
