Sweet animal recognition and easy-to-follow storyline - ideal for baby & tot storytime! ( ) It's evening in the forest and Little Owl wakes up from his day-long sleep to watch his friends enjoying the night. Hedgehog sniffs for mushrooms, Skunk nibbles at berries, Frog croaks, and Cricket sings. A full moon rises and Little Owl can't understand why anyone would want to miss it. Could the daytime be nearly as wonderful? Mama Owl begins to describe it to him, but as the sun comes up, Little Owl falls fast asleep. Putting a twist on the bedtime book, Little Owl's Night is sure to comfort any child with a curiosity about the night. Very well done children's book. Engaging and educational. Great info about nocturnal animals and the foods they eat as well as other animal behaviors, but done in a narrative style that feels like a fun, fictional storybook. My kids (ages 2, 4, and 6) all thoroughly enjoy read aloud time with this one and I like that this book caters to both their creative and academic natures. The illustrations are simple and cute! We loved talking about other things going on in the pictures, making inferences, and counting objects. This book has a lot of potential for different discussions with multiple readings. ingen anmeldelser | tilføj en anmeldelse
