Though they have the same titles and the same author, the content in these editions is not identical. This edition is divided into two parts. The first discusses the origins and development of weaving, it's decline between the late 1800s and early 1900s, it's revival, weaving literature, collections, colonial coverlets, and the language of weaving. Part two Discusses spinning and dyeing, looms, draft writing and notation, and finishing of handwoven fabrics.
