I did notice an obvious copy-edit oversight that had me doing a double take (pg. 198, the handing over of the envelope with cash was by McNab, not Ferguson. In the moment, very confusing but obviously a name gaffe. Stuff happens :-) ( ![]() Another good Lennox story and brilliantly read again by Sean Barrett. another good story with PI Lennox. This is the first book from Craig Russell that I have read. I liked his easy style and enjoyed the story being set in Glasgow in the 50's. A good easy read. A very entertaining third addition to the series about 1950s Glasgow PI Lennox. Whilst the book has a theme and feel similar to the first two, the writing is more relaxed and at times the first person narrative verges on parody. That said it is an intriguing mystery that ends abruptly and leaves a few loose threads, which I hope will be picked up in further adventures. ingen anmeldelser | tilføj en anmeldelse
Human remains are recovered from the bottom of the River Clyde. Not an unusual occurrence, but these have been sleeping the deep, dark sleep for 18 years. Suddenly Glasgow's underworld is buzzing with the news that the dredged up bones belong to Gentleman Joe Strachan, Glasgow's most successful and ruthless armed robber.
