Nice early book to learn about flowers. Ruth Heller’s illustrations are splendid.

The illustrations in this book are phenomenal and Heller very gently intorduces the reader to the concepts of the plant life cycle. Every page has the ability to generate multiple questions and launch many discussions, from science to artwork. The text is written as a poem and in itself can be worth a study. ( )

The life cycle of plants. From pollination to germination. Different types of seeds including the ones that don't look like them. Different types of pollinators, other than bees and insects

This is a good book to use when teaching a science class about pollination and how plants grow. It can be used to spark interest before teaching about flowers and plants. I enjoyed the flow of the story, and I liked all the facts it taught through out the book. The bright pictures are nice to look at when learning about the flowers because it allows us to not only learn about a flower but to see what is looks like too. ( )

This book was nicely crafted in the sense that it gives the reader a better understanding of what plants can do to benefit our world and how they allow us to be able to have the wonderful things that we do have such as food and oxygen and beautiful smells. ( )
