This was fine. I liked the 2nd, 3rd, and 5th books in this collection but I didn't much care for the other two. I think they tried to connect the stories more than what made sense from the world building so there were a lot of loose ends to tie up at the very end. I did like it though. Once I got past the first book I found myself intrigued. I think they tried to make it a little more dramatic than it needed to be. Overall this book was fine but nothing that special. ( )

Set in feudal Japan, five familiar Marvel characters (Wolverine, Hulk, the Punisher, Psylocke, and Deadpool) are recast as Ronin, warriors without a master. Most of them are determined to kill a certain daimyo, who has wronged them all in some way.

It's an interesting story. I mainly bought it because Deadpool was in it (yes, I am one of those people), and I liked the author's take on him. It's one of those books that you can skip without problem, but if you're into this kind of thing, it's likely enjoyable. ( )
