"Who Wants Arthur", is a picture book that exemplifies the idea that everyone is special in their own way. It is ok to be ordinary, people will still love you for it! Children at the age appropriate for this book are at eh age of pleasing others. This book will help them understand the importance of being yourself. The illustrations in this story make the text that much better. The pictures are humorous, and well played! ( )

This is a great story about a misunderstood dog, who constantly tries to be something he is not because no one has wanted him as just himself, boring old brown dog arthur. He tries to do everything but be himself, and once this happens good things happen for him. This is a great lesson for kids to learn because they will be told they aren't good enough as just them. I cannot stress enough how much I loved this book because of that lesson alone, but it also has great illustrations and is funny when Arthur is trying to do things like squeez into the tiny fishbowl. It is all around a great book for children.

Arthur is a dog in a pet shop hoping someone buys him and takes him home. He tries to act like other animals in order to get noticed by a prospective buyer.
