This was a good book about not caring what other people think. This also brings up the important conversation that i'm sure i'll have to have with my students about cleanliness. I'm all for people enjoying what they wear but they have to take into account how they smell sometimes. ( )

I love this story about a girl who desperately wants socks and finally goes to the store and gets rainbow colored ones she loves so much she refuses to wash them! they end up stinking so bad her classmates throw her in the lake and wash them themselves! and even her shirt later! it is great for having a good laugh and teaching kids proper hygiene and how we don't want to be the stinky kid in class

Tina wanted socks that were sold on her side of the river where she lived. She uses problem solving skill ideas to get across the river to get the socks she wanted. She loved her sock so much that she declared she won't ever take them off. She made decisions to continue wearing smelly socks and had to learn when to make the decision to allow her socks be washed.
