Indlæser... Becoming a woman of purpose : a bible study (1994)af Cynthia Heald
![]() Ingen Der er ingen diskussionstråde på Snak om denne bog. This is one of a series of books written by Cynthia Heald. The focus of this particular study is to first, introduce the reader to God's purpose and then explain the role we each play in achieving that purpose. Scripture covering each topic has been carefully selected to guide the reader to a true study of the Bible. The author's own comments and quotes from other commentators are minimal but insightful. As with her similar studies on other topics, the book is short in length. Each chapter leads the reader to several Bible verses for additional reading however. Each chapter also includes several contemplative questions for the reader to answer after reading the selected verses. This is an excellent study and one I plan to keep on my shelf to revisit when I begin to lose my way. Presents Bible passages, writings from Christian thinkers, and reflective exercises to help women understand God's purpose for their lives. ingen anmeldelser | tilføj en anmeldelse

Asa Christian women, we need to remember that the Bible is fraught with reassurance and astuteness as to who we are and better comprehend the function the Lord has made for us. We also must remember that He has created you in His image.
1 CORINTHIANS 15:10 [NKJV] reminds all women of the following:
“But by the grace of God I am what I am, and His grace toward me was not in vain; but I labored more abundantly than they all, yet not I, but the grace of God which was with me.”
And once we come to realize the truth as to why we are the way we are. We should go and exalt the Lord in the manner that gets found in reading PROVERBS 139:14 [NKJV]:
“I will praise You, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made; Marvelous are Your works, And that my soul knows very well.”
When we ask ourselves what our purpose is, we need to remember that the Spirit of the Lord might have endowed us with a gift, which 1 CORINTHIANS 12:4-11 [NKJV] tells us about:
4] There are diversities of gifts, but the same Spirit.
5] There are differences of ministries, but the same Lord.
6] And there are diversities of activities, but it is the same God who works all in all.
7] But the manifestation of the Spirit is given to each one for the profit of all:
8] for to one is given the word of wisdom through the Spirit, to another the word of knowledge through the same Spirit,
9] to another faith by the same Spirit, to another gifts of healings by the same Spirit,
10] to another the working of miracles, to another prophecy, to another discerning of spirits, to another different kinds of tongues, to another the interpretation of tongues.
11] But the same Spirit works all these things, distributing to each one individually as He wills.
While all the above might be true, the important thing we need to remember for being the woman that we are is that the Lord has blessed us with the ability to bring forth life, with the seed[s] that He has placed in our wombs, and that we had been made in His image.
While what I’ve stated is the truth as far as I am concerned. I feel we still need a professional guide to provide us, as Christian women, with a better comprehension of our identity, the Lord’s will, and most importantly, His intended purpose for us as His one of its kind creation. In reading this devotional book by Cynthia Heald, I found her to be the formidable type of guide we require. For being the type of guide, we require to discover the purpose of our lives as Christian women; I’ve given Ms. Heald 5 STARS.
