The wording is not repetitive and it is easy to understand, and relate to. The wording on the page is also not overwhelming. Also students can read one page, or many, that don’t have to be in the correct order. That is the great thing about informational texts. Another reason why I like this book so much is that the illustrations are fantastic. They are lifelike and they are realistic, but with lots of color, and small without being distracting to the other texts. Something similar to the illustrations are the pictures of the important figures in the American Revolution. There are actual photos of them, and also have details about that figure below. For example, John Jay is described as a brilliant New York Attorney. I like that they have the descriptions, because students can really think about who they were. Lastly, I really enjoy the other features, like the dates, the timeline at the end, and the extra information they have as well. Over all, this is not your typical boring history book and will be suitable for 4th and 5th graders as well as any middle school students. This book is a reference book from Eyewitness Books. It's packed with information all about the American Revolution including the events before, during, and after the war. This is a good resource to use to pull information from if you are ever teaching about the American Revolution. This book also includes real photographs of different events, inventions, and other things that relate to the American Revolution. ingen anmeldelser | tilføj en anmeldelse
